Reporting Facilities

Any system is only as good as the data that can be extracted from it. UltraSys provides a number of powerful yet easy to use tools to report on this data. Some of these are integrated into the system and run as specific reports (e.g. providing information on specific assets, jobs etc.). Some collate information as performance or KPI measures which can be displayed in tabular or graphical format and others allow the export of key information into spreadsheets such as Excel. In addition, users can write their own reports using an easy to use reporting tool on either the application database or specially designed repository and warehouse databases. Furthermore, it is possible to use third party reporting tools such as Crystal Reports or Business Objects via ODBC connections to the UltraSys database. The following provides an overview of some of the key attributes:

  • Integrated reports within the UltraSys application give easy access to key data such as asset performance, job information and financial summaries
  • A range of Key Performance Indicators are available that consider data across the whole spectrum of activity and help to keep the business on track
  • A facility to trend and extrapolate these KPIs provides valuable information to both operational and strategic components of the business
  • Facilities to export key financial information to spreadsheets
  • Facilities to provide direct export utilities from system to spreadsheets or flat files
  • Integrated ‘top ten' measures in both tabular and graphical output
  • Easy to use reporting tools to allow custom developed reports and oneoff queries to be easily produced
  • Specially developed ‘repository' reporting databases, including warehousing, that simplify the production of custom developed reports
  • Third party access to the UltraSys database using tools such as SharePoint, Business Objects and Crystal Reports
