The payroll module is extremely flexible and can cope with a variety of differing pay calculations. For example, personnel may be linked to a fixed rate, be paid by piecework or be salaried, all with appropriate overtime rates.
Each individual may be assigned to a specific method of payment with the input of hours available from different sources (e.g. timesheet entry).
Although the system calculates pay and other costs (such as expenses, etc) the results may be posted to a third party provider that operates a payroll bureau for actual payment to the workforce.
The module is fully integrated within the system and can post information to an external central finance and accounting system.
The module is easy to use and is fully integrated with the work procedures of the system. Thus, the input of data is continuous with users needing to only input the information once from anywhere within the system. This serves to spread the administrative load, reduce the possibility of transcription errors and generally improves efficiency.
The system allows time entries with respect to the employees so that full accountability can be made for the working day. Such entries may include jobs that the person has worked on; in which case the information entered is also used to update the job, meetings, meal breaks, sickness, dental appointments etc.
